pET15b FimH2 R
pET15b FimH2 R is a primer sequence which is a short single-stranded DNA sequence that is used as a starting point for PCR amplification of a gene. Primers effectively "direct" DNA polymerases where to begin replication of DNA, because DNA replication can only add additional nucleotides to an existing strand of DNA since it cannot initiate DNA synthesis. This part will act as our reverse primer for the amplification of the FimH2 gene and has a length of 29 bp. It has the Blp1 restriction enzyme recognition site and a 5’ overhang of 4 bases ‘TATT’ for increasing the cleavage efficiency of the Restriction enzyme BlpI. The primer will be needed for the PCR amplification of our gene of interest Fim H2. It has 48% GC content with a Tm of 65 degrees Celsius.
