ACC deaminase from Pseudomonas fluorescens
This part codes for the ACC deaminase (acdS) gene from Pseudomonas fluorescens FY32. ACC deaminase breaks down 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid into alpha ketobutyrate and ammonia. The acdS enzyme can break down ACC in bacteria or plants. ACC is the precursor of ethylene, so its breakdown helps to prevent harmful effects caused by ethylene stress responses in plants. A BioBrick prefix and suffix flag this part.
