COP1 CDS B3

COP1 CDS was designed to be used with the Chlamydomonas Reinhardtii MoClo kit [1] and is in position B3 . Its 5’ scar is A (because start codon ATG is contained in this sequence) and its 3’ scar is AGGT.

The COP1 protein is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that induces the degradation of photoreceptors and other development related and light sensitive proteins by the proteasome.[2,3] It dimerizes with UVR8 under UV radiation.

Guanidine in position 390, 567, 915 and 930 were replaced with cytidine as to remove PstI sites, without changing the coding sequence, and make part compatible with RFC10 standard.
