LuxR-Phlf hybrid promoter

Design

This new promoter was used in our design attempts to create a genetic circuit with a steeper response curve. It contains a LuxR binding domain (lux box) upstream the -35 region and a Phlf operator in the core sequence that also overlaps with the -10 region. It is therefore positively regulated by LuxR and negatively by Phlf.[1][2]
