katGp, a H2O2 inducible promoter
katGp is a promoter induced by OxyR (BBa_K1104200), a transcription factor that is activated by ROS. In our case, we used hydrogen peroxide to activate OxyR protein. For more information on our result regarding our characterization, refer to the composite part katGp-RFP-Pc-OxyR (BBa_K4225006).
Teams can use this promoter for projects or experiments that are related to sensing H2O2.
Note that there is another katGp in the iGEM part registry (BBa_K2610004), which is designed by Team iGEM18_Leiden, however this katGp sequence is different with theirs.
