68aa, Aga2 subunit
This DNA sequence expresses the Aga2 subunit that resides on the extracellular side of the S. cerevisiae's plasmic membrane.
Usage and Biology
Biology
Aga2 protein subunit connects to another subunit of a-agglutinin named Aga1 that anchors on the membrane of S. cerevisiae through a disulfide bond. It faces the extracellular side of the membrane.
Usage
When connected to your interest gene this sequence can be used to express a fused protein of your interest protein and the Aga2 protein that enables you to display your target protein on the surface of S. cerevisiae.
