In-frame expression genes of PETase
ISF6_4831 has a high sequence similarity with the PET hydrolyzing horn, but its hydrolytic activity and selectivity for PET are significantly higher than other PET hydrolyzing enzymes. The enzyme ISF6_4831 required for the degradation of PET plastic by Osaka bacteria was optimized, and a redesigned enzyme with significantly enhanced stability was obtained.
