This part is a variant of Tachyplesin I designed for increased effectiveness against gram-negative b

This part is an artificially designed variant of Tachyplesin I. It should be treated as a normal antimicrobial peptide and be used as such. This part has been documented and researched to be effective against gram-negative pathogenic bacteria and has higher antimicrobial effects against Vibrio species bacteria than the original Tachyplesin I. This is important because Vibrio bacteria have an innate resistance to many antimicrobial peptides. It should be noted that it was also designed for the purpose of eliminating Vibrio contamination, so this part would be a great option for teams that need an effective Vibrio contamination purifier that won't easily cause resistance mutation.

When expressing this part, it is important for it to not be expressed as one would a normal protein due to the fact that once expressed, the AMP will destroy the bacteria that expressed it. To avoid this, please don't use gram-negative bacteria for expression, instead, consider other organisms for expression, or consider some form of AMP anchorage via a surface display mechanism in order to inhibit AMP movement and effectiveness immediately after expression.
