Curli assembly protein CsgC
csgC is a chaperone that is part of the curli production system. It acts as a chaperone to prevent aggregation of csgA in the periplasm. It has also been shown to prevent curli fibril elongation from csgA in vitro [1, 2], and we had expected to use it for curli inhibition. However, while we successfully inserted it into pET-11a, we did not successfully express it.
