Circuit to report phosphorylation in vivo (alternate design)
This circuit uses sfGFP to report phosphorylation rates in the cell upon activation of EnvZ in a high osmolarity state. The phosphorylation of EnvZ ultimately causes OmpC production, so we use the ompC promoter in this circuit in order to report phosphorylation of EnvZ.
An increase in green fluorescence is intended to report upregulation of the ompC promoter and therefore increased phosphorylation levels.
This is an improved version of BBa_K3773514.
