Circuit to report translation in vivo (alternate design)

This sensor circuit uses sfGFP to report general levels of translation in E. coli. We use this translational sensor to detect changes in host translation when an additional circuit is added. This sensor encodes sfGFP under the control of a strong Anderson promoter (BBa_J23119) and B0034 with BBa_B1006 as the terminator. As the fluorescence output of this circuit is a direct cause of translation, it can be used as a measure of circuit interactions with host translation. Decreases in sfGFP fluorescence with and without the desired tested circuit will reflect the impact of the additional circuit on hosts functions, reflecting host-circuit orthogonality levels.
