Nitrous oxide reductase Y (nosY) from Pseudomonas stutzeri JM300
This gene is part of the nos operon from P. stutzeri JM300. Nos is the last enzyme of the denitrification pathway, converting nitrous oxide (N2O) into dinitrogen gas (N2). NosY together with NosF form an ABC transporter, which is presumably required for the shuttling of sulfur species to the periplasm for assembly of NosZ [1].
