Periplasmic nitrate reductase G (napG) from Paracoccus denitrificans DSM 413
This gene is part of the nap operon from P. denitrificans DSM 413. Nap is the first enzyme of the denitrification pathway, converting nitrate (NO3-) into nitrite (NO2-). NapG encodes a putative ferredoxin. It transfers electron to NapC, which subsequently transfers them to the catalytic subunit NapA [1].
