NSP4 Signal Peptide
This sequence was developed by Han, S.K., et al. (2017). [1]
A new signal sequence for E. coli protein secretion. From the literature, the secretion efficiency of NSP4 is about 3.5 fold higher than commonly used signal peptides such as DsbAss.
Meanwhile, >80% of the secreted protein can be purified from culture medium instead of trapping in periplasmic space. This feature makes NSP4 an ideal signal peptide for our project to secrete AFB-1 degrading enzymes.
