Part:BBa_K3710003
Urea-inducible promoter PureD
This part harbours the inducible promoter PureD, which is activated by the UreR transcriptional regulator in the presence of urea. It is one of several promoters activated by the UreR transcriptional activator which share a consensus sequence of TA/GT/CA/TT/GC/TTA/TT/AATTG [1].
PureD is a bidirectional promoter driving transcription of the ureR and ureD genes of P. mirabilis. UreR binding sites are located from -110 to -96 and from -44 to -29 bp upstream of ureD tranlational start site.
