cleavage site 3 on spike protein sequence
this sequence will be translated to a polypeptide which is part of the SARS CoV2 spike protein and includes one of the four cleavage sites for pepP cleavage. We constructed this sequence because pepP may not cut the whole spike protein due to its huge structure. This sequence includes the cutting site sequence and a few sequences upstream and downstream (upstream 33 and downstream 30)
Usage and Biology
One of the cleavage site pepP protease will identify is Phe-Pro amino acid sequence. After the cleavage of pepP, the polypeptide may be cut into two smaller parts with 1.17kDa and 1.kDa each.
