DinoIII-GUS

GUS gene which encodes the enzyme glucuronidase has been added to DinoIII plasmid which is specific for Dinoflagellate as a reporter gene.GUS gene is a good reporter gene in experiments that are conducted on plants, the success of transformation can be observed via the visual color change for the first time by applying a histochemical technique, termed GUS staining, to the transformants. In addition, DinoIII is a plasmid peculiar to Dinoflagellate such as Symbiodinium, which contains the original promoter belongs to Dinoflagellate, which to a certain extent will benefit heterologous gene expresses.
