Qβ3' recognition sequence of Qβ replicase
BBa_K3425038 is the recognition sequence of the Qβ viral replicase at the 3'end of its RNA templates. BBa_K3425038 sequence was retrieved from the publication [1]. The sequence of this part is highly similar, but non-identical to the MDV upstream.
About Qβ replicaseQβ replicase is an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase of Qβ phage. Functional enzyme consists of four parts, where only a single component - the β-subunit - is of viral origin. The remaining three components are ribosomal protein S1 and the translation elongation factors EF-Tu and EF-Ts. For its function, Qβ replicase requires the the presence of specific recognition sequences at the both ends of its RNA template, such as QB3' and QB5' (BBa_K3425038) or MDV upstream and downstream.
