Ribosomal frameshifting sequence
This ribosomal frameshifting sequence is used to generate short and long proteins from the same DNA sequence. The short peptide is expressed with lower frequency than the long one. The codon usage is optimized for E. coli. The not-in-frame stop codon begins at the 12 nucleotide.
