Chloramphenicol Resistance Gene T33X (ChlR_T33X)
This part is a mutant of a gene encoding ChlR, a resistance protein of chloramphenicol, and it is nonsense mutated at its 33rd amino acid residual. We used this mutated ChlR as one of the target genes of our directed evolution process. After expression in BL21(DE3), we found that no colony grew on a medium plate containing chloramphenicol, showing its inability of being resistant to chloramphenicol.
Numbers of different types of colonies grown on plates with different antibiotics (Data of this part shown in red)
