Fe-ion-binding peptide

This peptide is comprised of the 25 mer C-terminus of alpha-synuclein (MPVDPDNEAYEMPSEEGYQDYEPEA) added methionine to N-terminus of the 25 mer peptide.It reported that the 25 mer C-terminus of alpha-synuclein has the function binding to Fe (III) and that the Kd value of 25 mer peptide was 21 μM evaluated by ITC analysis. The sequence of this peptide(MMPVDPDNEAYEMPSEEGYQDYEPEA) was constructed by PCR using human brain cDNA as template. This peptide is being tried to evaluate the expression and function and to ligate the peptide gene to promoter (BBa_B0034) and terminator (BBa_B0016).
