This fusion chimera mediate retinal-dependent phototaxis responses by Escherichia coli, establishing that the nine-helix membrane portion of the receptor-transducer complex is a modular functional unit able to signal in heterologous membranes.
We confirmed that phototaxis device (BBa_K317028) properly works as we expected. This result shows that this part will be work with the combination of the series of promotors and ribosome binding sites.
