CAHS 94205 + FLAG Tag
Tardigrade-specific intrinsically disordered proteins (TDPs) are required for tardigrade desiccation tolerance, and these genes are sufficient to increase desiccation tolerance when expressed in heterologous systems. TDPs form non-crystalline solids (vitrify) when desiccated. The vitrified state is believed to contribute to their ability to protect the organism. This part encodes the same protein as part <a href="https://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K2306006">BBa_K2306006</a>, however, this encodes for the native nucleotide sequence. It also includes a FLAG tag for purification purposes This sequence has not been codon-optimized for expression in any organism.
