Modified 0.19 Wheat Albumin sequence (Ile to Asn), an α-Amylase inhibitor
This sequence is a modified version of 0.19 Wheat Albumin (BBa_K2928001) strengthening the dipole bonds to α-amylase. An amino acid substitution was made as follows: the 44th amino acid in the 0.19 polypeptide was changed from Isoleucine, which has a non-polar side chain, to Asparagine, which has a hydrophilic sidechain, strengthening the bond to the hydrophilic Asparagine on the α-amylase.
