Monomeric (m)Eos2 is an engineered green-to-red photoactivatable fluorescent protein(PAFP) which is widely used for super-resolution microscopy. This mEos we used is the modified mEos 3.2 that are truly monomeric, are brighter, mature faster and exhibit higher photon budget and label density.[1]

Microscopy result

We used the super-resolution microscope(N-SIM) to observe the fluorescent protein signal. Comparing the microscopy results of sfGFP and mEos we can see the signal of mEos was more concentrated so it would be expected to display more subtle structures.
