This parts contains the coding sequences for the DFR and F3H enzymes of the anthocyanin biosynthesis
DFR gene from Anthurium andraeanum. DFR encodes dihydroflavonol 4-reductase. In the anthocyanin biosynthesis pathway, DFR converts dihydro-kaempferol to leucoanthocyanidin. F3H gene from Malus domsetica. Flavanone 3-hydroxylase (F3H)Catalyzes the 3-beta-hydroxylation of 2S-flavanones to 2R,3R-dihydroflavonols which are intermediates in the biosynthesis of flavonols, anthocyanidins, catechins and proanthocyanidins in plants.
Together, these enzymes constitute the first two steps of an anthocyanin biosynthesis pathway that can be engineered into bacteria.
