KSI-DP-EEE
Sequence codes a polypeptide consisting of ketosteroid isomerase (KSI) with additional Asp-Pro dipeptide followed fibers-forming EEE. KSI facilitates isolation of protein since it causes packing of the polypeptide in inclusion bodies. KSI can later be removed by exposing the polypeptide to acidic environment which results in cleavage of D-P peptide bond. EEE consists of three heterotrimerisation domains. Each of this domains interacts vith other two on other polypeptide chains. This interactions should result in fibes or network of interconnected fibers. Glutamic acid residues on the surface of the protein could be basis for metalisation.
