KSI-DP-P1-P3-P5
Sequence codes a polypeptide consisting of ketosteroid isomerase (KSI) with additional Asp-Pro amino acid sequence followed by three alpha helical segments: P1, P3 and P5. KSI facilitates isolation of protein since it causes packing of the polypeptide in inclusion bodies. KSI can later be removed by exposing the polypeptide to acidic environment which results in brakeage of D-P peptide bond. When KSI is removed this polypeptide has basically identical properties as P1-P3-P5 (BBa_K245068). P1, P3 and P5 are all heterodimeric parallel coiled coil forming segments. P1 forms coiled coils with P2 (basic part: BBa_K245119), P3 with P4 (basic part: BBa_K245121) and P5 with P6 (basic part: BBa_K245123). Along with P6-P4-P2 polypeptide this construct could form planar network. Sequence and Features
