Antiparallel Leucine Zipper A
This peptide is able to bind to the Antiparallel Leucine Zipper B in an antiparallel fashion. Its main use is to induce interaction between proteins. The Antiparallel Leucine Zipper A can be fused to the carboxy-end of a protein and it will interact with the Antiparallel Leucine Zipper B fused to the amino end of another protein. This interaction between the leucine zippers will lead to the interaction between the fused proteins. This interaction has been shown to work with split fluorescent proteins.
