Usage and Biology

We inserted a CtDockerin (BBa_K2155002) behind our core enzyme BFD-Benzoylformate decarboxylase(Figure1). We ligated these two parts by using one-step cloning. With the dokerin, BFD can specially bind to scaffold protein and form a enzyme complex with TalB(Figure2). We have verified that the yeild of xylulose could be greatly improved when we use the scaffold protein to combine TalB and BFD.
