MhbR: a protein that combines the 3HBA to induce the promoter Mhbpt.

MhbR coding sequence from Klebsiella pneumoniae M5a1. This part encodes a 37-kDa polypeptide, which is homologous to members of the LysR family, the largest family of prokaryotic regulatory proteins identified so far (Henikoff et al., 1988).

MhbR can combine 3-hydroxybenzoate(3-HBA) to induce the promoter Mhbpt. It can be used in an induction system and the system will be induced when both the MhbR and the 3-HBA exist. It can also be used as a section of the degradation device when we need to degrade 3-HBA.
