The catalytic enzyme endo-1,4-beta-D-glucanase (CelA) cleaves 1,4-beta-D-glycosidic linkages in cellulose. The used prefix pP43_RBS_nprb allows the secretion of CelA in B. subtilis.
Usage and Biology
This part can be used to produce and secrete CelA in B. subtilis that can hydrolyse cellulose molecules into simple sugars.
