melA gene

The melA gene is coding sequence of tyrosinase. This coding sequence comes from Rhizobium etli CFN42 and was optimized by GENEART(N.C.Valladares, et al., 2006).

Tyrosinase is enzyme which converts from tyrosine to dopaquinone. Dopaquinone is intermediate product of melanin biosynthesis pathway.
