tac pR testing plasmid (GFP)

PTAC promoter followed by an RBS, green fluorescent protein and stop codon, for testing the effectiveness of the PTAC hybrid promoter designed by iGEM2009 Team:Southampton.

The lacIq sequence preceding the tac promoter ensures that tac pR is in the 'OFF' state naturally. Green fluorescent protein is produced if IPTG successfully induces the promoter, demonstrating the regulatory effect of Lac upon the promoter.
