Invertible promoter with RFP reporter
This part is for the characterisation of the Invertible Promoter part BBa_K1768001 which is a permanently inducible gene switch.
An antisense copy of a constitutive promoter flanked by Lox66 and Lox71 recombination recognised by the Cre enzyme which facilitates a single round of recombination between these sites. Thus the orientation of the promoter can be inverted, allowing expression of RFP reporter gene.
This part responds to POPS of an upstream part, BBa_K1768004, to induce a downstream activation of the RFP protein.
