MoClo adhB

adhB is the alcohol dehydrogenase B gene from Zymomonas mobilis. It catalyzes the formation of ethanol from acetaldehyde. In combination with pyruvate decarboxylase (pdc), it can be used to insert a pathway to produce ethanol from pyruvate. This may be useful for microbial production of biofuels among other things. This part is flanked by BsaI cut sites for use in MoClo (modular cloning) assembly.
