Part:BBa_K1475007
GFP controlled by lacI and plac
This composite part has GFP controlled by a lacI, p(lacI) expression system.
Please note that this part contains the lacI repressor without the LVA rapid degradation tag. The lacI+LVA bacis part can be found here: Part:BBa_C0012.
Usage and Biology
This part can be used to test the expression from the lacI, p(lacI) system.
The operation of lacI repressor is inhibited by allolactose and IPTG (Isopropylthiogalactoside). IPTG is preferred because it cannot be degraded by Escherichia coli and therefore remains at a constant concentration.
