LuxI generator controlled by a AND-gate system.

LuxI is placed under a LacI repressible promoter. The production of lacI itself is controlled by a T7 promoter and by a ribolock. Only when both T7 DNA polymerase and ribokey3d are present, will lacI be produced. In that case the production of LuxI is repressed. When none or only one of the regulators is present, lacI will not be produced and the production of LuxI is switched on.
