Bovine Terminal Deoxynucleotidyl Transferase: codon optimized for expression in E. coli
This sequence codes for bovine terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase. This is an enzyme that is commonly found in mammalian immune cells. Natively, it aids in antibody gene recombination. It is known to polymerize deoxynucleotides onto the 3' end of single stranded oligonucleotides without the need for a template strand. This sequence has been codon optimized for E. coli. An Nde1 restriction site has been added to the 5' end of the sequence so that it can be cloned into the expression vector pET28b+.
