pLux/cI+RBS+LuxS+RBS+Mnt+TT+pLac/Mnt+RBS+LuxS+RBS+cI+TT

This construct uses two hybrid promoters. pLux/cI drives expression of the LuxS and Mnt genes. The promoter is designed to respond to activation by LuxR when bound to AI-1 and to repression by lambda cI. pLac/Mnt drives expression of the LuxS and cI genes. It is designed for repression by the Lac repressor, which can be derepressed by IPTG, and by the Mnt repressor. LuxS is a sythase that produces AI-2.
