The regulatory elements RhaR and RhaS sense and response to Rhamnose, inducing expression from the divergently transcribed promoter they regulate. Maximum induction is observed at 10 mM rhamnose. Expression without induction is considerably leakier than from its arabinose counterpart (bba_J72071), but reaches similar levels. Part is referred to internally as jtk3206.
