Ste2-GFP-RR under endogenous promoter
Usage and Biology
Ste2 is a native to the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and is an integral membrane receptor for the mating pheromone alpha factor. Upon induction with alpha factor, Ste2 is endocytosed into the cell, and eventually ends up in the vacuole.
RR is one half of the EE-RR leucine zipper interaction. This interaction has a dissociation constant in the nanomolar range.
This part has been tested, and it has been shown that this construct retains the functionality of native Ste2. Sequence and Features
