Comparator device
Not meant to be used as a single construction, but as a two-plasmid device.
BBa_I730002 and BBa_I730003 are the two halves of this device, if one of them bears an ampicillin resistance gene and the other a kanamicine one, you could be able of detect whatever you want (assembling the 'sensing' parts upstream of both constructs) and have a wished output (assembling the 'output' parts downstreams of both constructs).
As a proof of principle, for our iGEM 2007 project we have designed a comparator that has pOmpR and pOmpRm as inputs and fluorescence outputs. But we are aware of the huge modularity and potential of this device.
Both halves have been fully sequenced!!
