FimH is a type 1 fibiral adhesin. It is used by E.coli to adhere to surfaces. For more information on FimH binding, consider reading the paper referenced below. | The purpose of creating this part was for it to be used in a protein generator device that could be implemented in bacterial adhesion systems.(This part does not exist as of 5/15/06, a similar part is BBa_I10100) | The sequence below was created from protein sequence in ncbi database (see references below). The only modification that was made is the removal of a restrition site. No stop codons were added to the end of this sequence.
