7x His tag head domain

This is a 7x His tag head domain designed to be at the N-terminus of a protein. His tags are a type of affinity tag that can be used to purify and/or measure the quantity of proteins.

Usage and Biology

The His tag is one of the most commonly used purification tags and has been used to purify proteins from E. coli, yeast, mammalian cells, and insect cells. His-tags can be placed on either the N- or C-terminus of proteins. Purification of a his-tagged protein is a one-step purification process that yields 20-80% pure protein. His-tagged protein purification supports both denaturing and non-denaturing purification.
