Design Notes

Note that the DD domain is positioned before the rtTA transactivator in this part.


Source

This part consists of an Escherichia coli-derived binding domain for the tetracycline operator, the viral VP16 transactivation domain isolated from the herpes simplex virus, and an engineered human FKBP12 protein that functions as a destabilization domain.
