Short Flexible Linker Gly-Gly-Ser-Gly (Pichia pastoris codon optimized)

As an indispensable component of recombinant fusion proteins, linkers have shown increasing importance in the construction of stable and bioactive fusion proteins. The successful construction of a recombinant fusion protein requires two indispensable elements: the component proteins and the linkers. The most widely used flexible linkers have sequences consisting primarily of stretches of Gly and Ser residues ("GS" linker), which provide good flexibility and solubility to the protein. These flexible linkers can increase the accessibility of an epitope to antibodies or improve protein folding.
