a region of mif23 gene

The mif23 gene is a fungal gene found in Magnaporthe oryzae. It is an infection specific gene that results in the rice blast disease. This sequence consists of 3 regions: a left binding arm, a CTGC sequence, and a right binding arm. Binding arms hybridise with the binding arms of the DNAzyme which catalyses the cleavage of the target sequence at the CTGC sequence.
