Design Notes

Homodimerization is only possible if two leucine zipper proteins meet.

In iGEM Grenoble 2019 project, we used leucine zipper to get closer two OMPx proteins. Indeed, we wanted to verify if when the two proteins are closed together, we can have a signal. For that, we created a fusion protein with OMPx and leucine zipper as you can see on BBa_K3128026 and BBa_K3128027.

This gene was synthesized by iDT because it was non available on iGEM plates.
