Rock-paper-scissors - Paper primary plasmid

Composite part, consisting of BBa_K180005 and BBa_K180015, but with BBa_K180005 reading along the reverse strand, and BBa_K180015 reading along the forward strand.

BBa_K180005 reads along reverse strand, and BBa_K180015 reads along the forward strand to ensure the constitutive promoter BBa_J23119 (present in BBa_K180005) has no effect over GFP or RhlI expression in BBa_K180015.

GFP and RhlI are generated under tac pR regulation, whilst LuxR is produced constitutively.

Forms the 'paper' primary plasmid in Team:Southampton's rock-paper-scissors project design.

Usage and Biology

This part has been specified as a basic BioBrick, due to some of the component parts reading in reverse (unable to specify using the component BioBrick format).

To function as the 'Paper' in the rock-paper-scissors design by Team:Southampton, the part has to be used in conjunction with K180016, and pairs K180010 & K180013, K180017 & K180020.
